Frequently Asked Questions.

The information given in this section are common questions people ask about getting a phone repaired with Fast Track or about their handsets.

Question:

How do i know if my handset is in warranty?

Answer:

To check your warranty is simple and fast, go to the homepage and text your IMEI to the number stated at "step 1", our system will reply back to you the warranty status of your handset.

Question:

My phone keeps crashing and it needs a software update, will you be able to keep my information such as contacts, songs and text messages?

Answer:

No. It is important that you copy any important information before sending the handset to us as reprogramming your handset will erase all personal data and it cannot be retrieved once this is done.

Question:

My phone has a blank screen and i want to know if you could save my data?

Answer:

It is always advisable to copy any important information before sending the handset to us, even if it seems to be a screen fault. Sometimes it is necessary to perform a software update on the handset even if the problem seems to be unrelated.

Question:

How long will the repair take?

Answer:

At Fast Track we pride ourselves in having a speedy turn around. Providing we have all the parts in stock we will fix your handset the day we receive it and send it back out on the same day. If we are out of stock on any part we will contact you with an estimated time frame.

Question:

I have a phone and it is second hand so i cant be sure of its history, will i still be able to get it fixed?

Answer:

Yes, this should not be a problem. You would need to check the warranty first using our warranty validation system as explained at the homepage

Question:

I checked my phone was in warranty with the validation system and it said it was in warranty, is this information correct?

Answer:

The validation system checks your phones IMEI with Nokias database and can tell you if the handset is within 25 months old. However, this cannot predict any damages caused by a person and therefore if the handset is physically damaged, this will void the warranty issued by Nokia.

Question:

I have a Nokia N95 and the speaker crackles, is this fixable?

Answer:

Yes, this is a simple repair and will most likely be sent out the same day we receive the handset.

Question:

The LCD is cracked on my phone, is this covered by Nokias warranty?

Answer:

No. This would come under customer damage, this is repairable however and a quote can be given by phoning the phone number stated on the homepage
